IFC U-15's 1 v 2 Dingwall U-15's
By IFCJ Web on the 29 April 2011Invergordon lost to their local rivals tonight 2-1 even though they had the lion’s share of the game. Invergordon had most of the play with the visitors reduced to counter attacking football.
Stand out performances from wide man KENNEDY, full backs MACLOED and COGILL, and CAPTAIN MURRAY were not enough to secure a win for the home.
Invergordon took the lead from a well worked move on the win, McKEOWN latched on to a through ball and slotted into the side net. Invergordon were dominant and were shocked when Dingwall scored on a breakaway.
HALF-TIME: IFC 1-1 DINGWALL
Invergordon started the second half as they had played the first but were unable to make their advantage count. COGILL dominated the right flank hooking up with KENNEDY at all opportunities creating chance after chance for the home side.
Another breakaway resulting in a Dingwall corner with their centre half slamming home from 10 yards; Invergordon in disbelief.
Despite the best efforts of MURRAY and MACLEOD down the left side the home team were unable to get themselves and equaliser, which would have been the least they deserved.
